These are two views of the same shoot. The production calendar spans weeks or months — prep, shoot days, post and delivery. The daily production schedule zooms into a single shoot day, hour by hour.
People also call the day-level view a "daily production calendar" — it's the same thing: the timing plan for one day on set.
What a daily production schedule includes
For most shoot days that means:
- Crew call and individual call times
- Setups or scenes in shooting order
- Estimated timing for each block
- Meal breaks and company moves
- Wrap and next-day notes
